The IGDS commenced in 1981 by the Warwick Manufacturing Group of The University of Warwick to strengthen collaboration between industry and the University, to bring academic rigour to industry and to train executives working in industry. The programme involves over 40 blue-chip manufacturing and engineering companies including:
